HTC EVO 4G season kicked off the world's mobile phones with jumbo-style smartphone with a 4.3-inch screen. Since then the trend has been big, big, and bigger when it comes to high-end handsets, with a full touch-screen phones now sporting the Android average 4-inch screen. pushing the envelope with a 4.5 inch screen and more on the road. Rumor has it that even the next version of the iPhone could include a larger screen than what can be found in previous versions of the hardware, much to the chagrin of Steve Jobs. Point, manufacturers continue to move towards larger screens with higher resolution for enhanced media experience, although it often comes at the cost of battery life and, some would argue, portability.
