ASUS introduced the Asus U36 ultra-portable computer. It is based on the Intel Calpella platform and has a dual heat pipe cooler. The Asus U36 laptop is packs a 13.3-inch display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels and an aluminum-magnesium alloy shell that is only 19mm thick and weighs 1.44kg.
It is the Intel Core processor i3/i5, support for nVidia Optimus technology that automatically comes between integrated graphics and dedicated graphics card mode. Detailed specification of the graphics card from Asus U36 still unknown, but probably G310M nVidia with 1GB DDR3 memory. The 4-cell battery Asus laptop offers up to 10 hours into U36 and Super Hybrid Engine can mode for longer battery life. There is no word on pricing of Asus U36 notebooks at the moment.
