Means to close / restart your computer via Remote Desktop.

I do not how many times I need to reboot your machine and get it over Remote Desktop. I usually just open a command prompt and type shutdown-rt 0 to restart. Raymond, however, offers four different ways of doing this.

Once you are logged into a workstation via Remote Desktop, for "Shut Down" change "Cancel". But what if you really want to turn off, hibernate it or put it to sleep?

Note: These tips work on Windows XP, but there is no guarantee they will work in future versions of Windows.

One way to do this is to run Task Manager and select the option Turn off the menu.

Another way is to click on the desktop and type Alt + F4. This call out the window, where you can get the shutdown options, as usual, "Shut Down", "Shut down without installing updates", "Start", "Stand" and "Sleep."

The next two tricks are documented and will continue in future versions of Windows:

If you are a command line, you can run Shutdown.exe, but this program supports only shutdown and restart, it did not suspend or hibernate. But the program has Shutdown.exe a serious error: it requires you to have administrator privileges. If you are a user with limited privileges will stop Shutdown.exe program review. (Which means I do not use it.)

Finally, if your computer does not use Fast User Switching type, you can Ctrl + Alt + End, which is the version of Remote Desktop Control + Alt + Del, and therefore take you to a dialog box where you can do different things like systems, including disconnecting and closing.
