The White Stripes aren’t the only band calling it quits. LCD Soundsystem announced it will retire after a show April 2 at New York’s Madison Square Garden.

“For just one more night, we will be playing with friends and family for nearly 3 hours —playing stuff we’ve never played before and going out with a bang,” said a statement from the band.

Just before the group released its third album, “This Is Happening,” in May, frontman James Murphy told NME that the set would be the last under the LCD moniker. “When I’m working on [a record],” he said, “it makes sense to think of it as the last you’ll ever do because then you make it good.”
